BC Centre for Disease Control

  • Information about COVID-19, how to protect yourself, your family and your community and what to do if you suspect you have the virus.

BC Chicken Growers Association (BCCGA)

BCCGA will email the Canadian Federation of Agriculture (CFA) weekly survey to all growers. Growers should complete this survey to help identify any issues caused by the COVID-19 outbreak that are affecting your farm businesses. Responses to the surveys will be integral as CFA works with the Federal Government to support Canadian agriculture.   BCCGA will monitor the survey results to help identify issues in B.C. and support growers accordingly.

March 27, 2020 Letter to Industry: BC’s four poultry boards issued a joint letter thanking  and offering support to BC’s poultry and egg industry.

March 27, 2020 Letter to Government of BC: BC’s four poultry boards issued a joint letter to  the Minister of Agriculture emphasizing the importance of supporting BC’s agri-food industry.   

March 20, 2020 Joint Letter to Farmers : BC’s four poultry boards made recommendations to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

March 27, 2020:  BC Poultry Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Weekly COVID-19 update

March 25, 2020 Yellow biosecurity status.  In response to the human health issue (rather than a bird health issue) the BC Poultry Association issued this recommendation to BC poultry farms.
