FAQ – Grower Portal

Frequently Asked Questions
about the Grower Portal

The website's "Grower Login" button has changed. Where did its contents go?

The former “Grower Login” section of the website — which housed forms, reference material, and disease management resources — has moved to the Grower Resources section of the website.

Note that some of the contents there is exclusive to the chicken-growing industry. The Educational and Disease Management contents is password-protected with the former “Grower Login” password. Contact the BCCMB office if you require access.
Only licensed chicken growers, hatcheries, and processors in BC are provided access to the Grower Portal.
Access was given to the email address you provided the BCCMB with your licence application for the current year.

The Grower Portal is still in development. Work is underway to list certain information in the future; these include Chick Placements, Mortality, feed data, feed conversion rate, European Broiler Index, and more.

Some data may still be in process, particularly information related to a current or recent quota period. Certain information is also not provided to or recorded by the BCCMB.

If something has changed recently or does not match your files, please contact the BCCMB office. In your message, be sure to specify exactly what you are questioning or wish to update, with any documentation to support the update.

As the Grower Portal continues to be developed over the coming months, other essential forms will be added. You will be notified by email when this occurs. For now, continue submitting these forms as you have done.

In order to sign off on your BC-111 a hatchery must be selected, all birds placed must be allocated to barns and all Quality Assessments must be completed (Upon Receipt of Chicks and 3-4 Day-old Chicks).

For now, you will still enjoy access to information and forms in all the same places; that is, via emails, downloads, or in print. However, as we all become accustomed to digital formats and what it can offer — improved efficiency, accuracy, resource management, and more — it is likely the Grower Portal will be a necessary tool for chicken growing in BC.
