Please be advised that employees of the Canadian National Railway (CN) and Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway (CPKC) are scheduled to commence strike action and halt service at 00:01 am on August 22, 2024. This development is expected to significantly affect the transportation of essential goods across Canada, including feed.
The BCCMB and CFC are in contact with provincial and federal governments to express our concerns and share the impact this will have on our poultry operations. At this point we have no concern over supply, rather the financial impact this could have on our industry. We will strive to continue communications with the feed industry and provide updates, as necessary.
