Reminder! Aspects of the updated Feed Regulations — referred to as a “modernization” — have come into effect over the past 18 months, with the final implementation step coming into force on December 17, 2025.
As of this date, an expanded scope of livestock species will be covered under the new regulations and licenses will be required to conduct certain feed-related activities, among other changes. The changes were first published in July of 2024 with delays and transition periods to allow the industry to adjust and comply. Full compliance is now expected.
